Alignment Exercises to Deepen Your Yoga Practice

The human body is constantly adapting to its environment and the positions it holds.  A long time sitting in front of a computer screen will change the alignment and function of the body.  So will yoga, corrective stretching, and walking.  This workshop is an experiment in motion to discover the hidden capabilities inside of us all.  We will do a common yoga pose, followed by a few Egoscue alignment exercises that restore function of the musculoskeletal system.  Then we'll revisit the yoga pose to observe what has changed about our capabilities.  Positive change happens over weeks, months, and years, but also can be felt in minutes!  Come see what your body is capable of when it is in better alignment and balance. 

Short bio:
Katie Phillips grew up in Fremont.  She has been a yoga practitioner since 2004 and an Egoscue Alignment and Exercise Therapist since 2008.  She works at the Egoscue Clinic of Austin, TX.
